News & Blog
Welcome to the MorningStar Graphix News Page and Blog
Welcome to our new, re-designed website. In the "News & Blog" section we plan on informing you about any changes or events that are in the works relating to this website, or the artwork created in it. We will also keep you updated on any Art projects or Graphic Design projects that we are in the process of considering, ones that we are in the process of designing, and those that have just been completed.
As always, we cherish your thoughts, ideas, and support. It is so helpful, and encouraging to have your input, as you are the reason why I create art and graphics in the first place. So go to the Contact page, and let us hear from you. Also, on the Contact page you will find a form for those of you who would enjoy receiving our monthly Blog. After we get rolling I hope to send out closer to a weekly Blog.
We are excited about how God will use and bless the content within this website. This site is fluid and subject to change. As we grow, learn new things, express and create, we want this to drive our website. Of course the driving force behind it all, centers upon our faith and trust in a God who can do the impossible. The One who created the beauty and majesty that we can still see, experience, and enjoy in our world today, is the One who uses the sky as His canvas, and paints the beauty of His creation out of love for us.
Protecting and Preserving God's Gift to Us
The environment, which is being abused and destroyed by human activity, is a gift from God, meant to be cherished, enjoyed, and protected. The wildlife, so unique, diverse and awe-inspiring, were created for our pleasure and enjoyment. But many of God's wildlife creations are in danger of disappearing. It's alarming that some amazing critters, like Giraffes, Grizzly Bears, and Elephants, may even face extinction if we don't give voice, or in my case paintbrush, to the cause of awakening awareness to the danger that exists to our planet, and all those that inhabit it. It's the only planet we have. and that which we lose can never come back again or be replaced. But sadly, so few seem to understand, or even care about the condition of a world that God has placed in our care. So beware, on our Blog, you may have to put up with some of my beliefs concerning the environment, and our disappearing wildlife.
Painting With Words
I believe that the written word is an art form, composed and painted, not on canvas necessarily, but upon a book, a blank page, or even a Blog like this. Therefore, because I also love to paint with words, I will attempt to provide art for you in a different form. In the section called Devotionals you will find short writings (word-paintings), or mini-messages that are inspired by God's written Word as it relates to real-life situations, problems, and challenges. Each will have an appropriate theme that will relate to many of the issues we face in a noisy, fast-paced, and broken world. For those who might read one, I would appreciate any thoughts that might relate. Feel free to critique, correct, add suggestions, testimonies, prayer requests, anything that would be helpful in moving this effort forward.
Art as an Outreach, Fund-Raiser, or Gift
I am constantly thinking about how I can use my artwork to inspire, encourage, and touch the heart. My desire is that my art will have a positive impact on those that view them. My reward is seeing a smile, or reading an encouraging email. One thought that keeps coming back to visit me is the concept of using my art as a way to reach out to those who are hurting, or in need. I may check into displaying my paintings at local hospitals, or locations where my paintings could bring a smile to those who have lost the desire to smile. I truly believe that art can have a healing effect on those who are sick, discouraged, or hurting in some way. I believe that art can also give voice to those who find it difficult or painful to express themselves verbally. I have seen great results when art therapy has been used to help children express what they find difficult to put into words. I have also been considering using art as a means of raising funds for Church's in need of financial support for different activities or events that relate to the Gospel. The idea is that a Church would only be required to provide a safe indoor location to hang the paintings, servant-workers to set up and manage the site and sales, as well as any miscellaneous costs that might arise. If you have any thoughts, or ideas relating to this, please go to the Contact page and send me an email. Again, thanks for visiting this site. It's our hope and prayer that it will in some way be a blessing to you.
